Sphex is a gateway for your Flex or Flash applications which uses the AMF binary format (remoting) to let you drive your backend with PHP. You may see the Sphex Framework as a much lighter alternative to weborb or amfphp.
The goal is to radically speed up the PHP development process: you just have to create some service PHP classes and they automatically become available to your Actionscript code.
